Achievements
Finalists of the Social Impact Award Slovakia RePET became a finalist of the *Social Impact Award Slovakia 2025* - a program supporting young people who bring innovative solutions to social and environmental problems.
-Thanks to participating in SIA, we received expert mentoring, feedback, and the opportunity to further develop our project focused on recycling PET bottles into 3D printing filament.-
About us
We are a young company from the Tatras Mountains that turns environmental burdens into reusable products. We transform used plastic, which would otherwise end up in landfills, incinerators or in nature, into a full-fledged and versatile material. We made our own recycling machine because we believe that innovation and sustainability begin with our own solutions. Our goal is to give plastics a second life and bring ecological products with an emphasis on preserving quality!
Mathematics
To produce one kilogram of filament for a 3D printer, approximately 40 1.5-liter plastic bottles are needed... According to an analysis by the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, approximately 1 billion PET bottles are placed on the Slovak market annually, which represents approximately 180 bottles per capita per year. For a family of four, this means approximately 60 PET bottles per month.
Garden fence puzzle
Plastic can end up in nature as a problem, or return to it as something useful. At RePET, we have created this Puzzle garden fence from used plastic bottles, which enhances gardens, protects flower beds and at the same time gives plastic a second life. And why the name? The individual fence elements can be disconnected and connected, so it is possible to create a short fence for a flower pot, or a long fence along the entire flower bed.
Custom cups
This time, we produced original custom-made glasses with the festival logo for a music festival. We adapted their design to the atmosphere of the event and the practical needs of visitors.
Each cup is equipped with a carabiner that can be easily attached to a backpack, belt, or bag. This way, visitors can always have it at hand, use it repeatedly throughout the festival, and take it home as an original souvenir.
This is how 3D printing, recycled plastic, and an original idea can combine functionality and presentation of a brand or event.
